Unity, Fairness and Equality - Is it a dream for Malaysians?

Greetings to all Malaysians, honestly I have started and ended several postings. There are so many things which my heart wants to say. So many things I see wrong going on. So many situations which I see and witness in disbelief. Never in my life have I ever thought I would witness such things and or situations happening in my beloved Malaysia. This time however I am adamant to complete this posting.
There are of course a multitude of issues which not only I can write or post about. I am very sure there are many out there like myself who wish to cry out and see an end to the atrocities which we are witnessing. Yes, I call it atrocities because like it or not it is happening. I sincerely believe most if not all Malaysians who are level minded and educated are not doing anything YET because it has YET to affect them personally. I AM ONE OF THEM!!! The atrocities taking place has not affected me at all but in time it will. It will affect me because like it or not the atrocities will spread, once it spreads there will be no stopping it. Day in and day out we as Malaysians are witness to the lies and slander which the supposedly free Main Stream Media is publishing and broadcasting. Time and again there is nothing but unfair and slanted reports being spread to the public.
WE as the Rakyat know better, we the RAKYAT are no longer silly and stupid. We the RAKYAT no longer depend on the Main Stream Media to spoon feed us information which we know to be untrue and lies. It sickens me to the bone watching TV3 News, once a very very long time ago TV3 News used to be my source of information. Not any more!! The simple reason being only one side of the story is being reported. No, the Main Stream Media is not my target of discontent for this posting. My target is to the many Malaysians out there who are keeping quiet, not bothered and not interested. The simple reason being all these atrocities have yet to affect them. I only hope and pray their silence will end during the next General Elections.
We the Rakyat have to put a stop to whatever is happening now. We are so racially divided it's unbelievable. Our educations system is in shambles. Local Universities once held in high regard in the region if not the world has lost it's position. The judicial system is a far cry from what is was before. The police can no longer be depended upon to be impartial in their efforts to keep the peace. Foreign investment has plummeted to an all time low. Malaysians who can afford it are leaving/migrating in droves. Race championing by shouting, screaming and threatening others is now a norm. Senior Civil Servants blatantly insulting other Malaysians with impunity and with no remorse (boleh buat police report lagi ada!!!). Clear evidence of corruption, miss appropriation of funds and misuse of power being swept under the carpet. It is as if the whole country and system needs a Reboot!!!
As I have stated my forlorn hope is that all Malaysians out there who want nothing but peace, unity, prosperity, fairness and equality will stand up and be counted. Let us all do the right thing when the time comes. Let us all regain some measure of respect from those whom we have chosen to lead us. For it is very obvious now that they clearly don't respect us at all!!! We are the Boss!! Their very existence depends on us and not the other way around. I know I am only 1 vote, and I know my 1 vote may not mean much but it's my constitutional right and no one can deny me what is constitutionally mine. At the very least I can honestly admit to myself that I have done the right thing when the time comes. By using my 1 and only vote with responsibility for the betterment of Malaysia. I AM A MALAYSIAN AND I AM DAMN PROUD TO BE A MALAYSIAN!!!! Unity, Fairness and Equality is not a dream my dear fellow Malaysians!!! It belongs to us no matter what anyone says. Are we willing to fight for it? Are we willing to sacrifice for it? Do we want our children to suffer for our lack of courage and resolve for a better Malaysia??Or are we just going to sit idly by and be resigned to the fact that we are powerless to affect change without even lifting a finger to try. Deep in my heart I know there are Malaysians out there who care and want a better Malaysia. Let us all realise that it's up to us. Can we do it? Together I am sure we can!!!!

YB Ibrahim Ali, You and PERKASA ARE RACIST!!!

YB Ibrahim Ali, respectfully I would like to indicate to you that you and your organization PERKASA are indeed RACIST. I do not wish to write an article which degrades me to your level of intelligence. Neither do I want to degrade myself by insulting you and calling you names. I am a Chinese Mulism who has embraced Islam for the love of the religion and the Islamic way of life. One only has to see what your reactions are toward Mr Wee Meng Chee and Pn Siti Inshah. If Mr Wee as you say is racist with his production of his music video what have you said of Pn Siti Inshah and her insults toward students in her school as a Principal? Who is she to say that the Chinese and Indians students can go back to China or India? Are they not Malaysian Citizens born in Malaysia?? Mr Wee may have been crude in his representation of his feelings but what of Pn Siti Inshah and her public insults to the children of Malaysian Citizens?? No police reports against her?No disciplinary actions against her?? I of course do not condone or accept what Mr Wee has produced but to each is own and if he wishes to express himself in a vulgar and crude manner it is up to him. Furthermore I see no racist remarks in his video (albeit I don't agree with his vulgarity). Being a school principal (guru besar) is Pn Siti Inshah not expected to lead by example to her fellow teachers? What message is she sending?
All I ask is that you pause and think for a moment what you are saying as a YB, an elected member of parliament. Should not all Malaysians be subject to the rule of law irrespective of race, religion, colour and or creed?? Why have you fallen silent on the matter of Pn Siti Inshah but have gone guns blazing on Mr Wee?? As for the YB of Serdang Miss Teo Nie Ching how is it wrong for her to enter a surau? Please enlighten me in which chapter of or which surah in the Holy Quran which indicates it is sinful or wrong for a non muslim to enter a surau or masjid. What proof or evidence have you to say that she delivered a tazkirah?? Here again you and your organization has gone ballistic. Need I quote more incidences to prove that you and the rest of PERKASA are indeed RACIST?? Respect can only be gained or obtained when it is first given. I rest my case.

BN/UMNO CRUMBLING??????

Desperate situations calls for desperate measures. Well thats more than always the case in most situations. All over in blogsphere cyber battles are being played out almost on a daily basis. Day in and day out BN/UMNO are forced to counter attack with more and more revelations of it's corruption and misdeeds. Nothing is being left unturned by the looks of it from North to South in the Peninsula including Sabah and Sarawak. Cyber citizens of Malaysia are being fed with all sorts of information and it's nothing less than sensational as well. Sadly nothing but good things (and bad things about the opposition) still remains being broadcasted by the Main Stream Media (will they ever wake up one wonders!!!!)
Now we hear and read of about a gag order in Sarawak with regard to Chief Minister Taib Mahmood's business empire overseas. How can one issue such a gag order when everything being which is being informed is backed up with facts??? Again we the Rakyat are treated as if we are idiots or who don't know any better. It's as if we can't formulate our own independent and intelligent opinion of Chief Minister Taib Mahmood. No need for me to even get into the many revelations as we all know of it by now of his families holdings in Canada, Australia and UK. With a monthly salary of RM20K he has amassed millions if not billions which is mind boggling. The current state government of Sarawak has even foolishly ordered Head of Longhouses not to allow opposition parties to campaign in their longhouses, and they brazenly claim in the same breath that they are fair and practice democracy??? Form your own opinion on that my fellow Malaysians!!!
All is not well in Sabah as well. Chief Minister Musa Aman seems to be in hot soup (or should I say boiling soup hehehehe) as well. Linked to several individuals involved in money laundering in the tune of millions!!!! Even more embarrassing is the fact that our own authorities (aware or not) have not caught on. Or is it because they do know but are helpless and unable to take action. It is only with the involvement of the Hong Kong ICAC and the threat of millions or billions being confiscated have our own authorities 'started' taking action. Just to side track a little, my wife was living in Sabah before UMNO got in. Sabahans were treated fairly in fact lavishly with it's rich natural resources. To cut a long story short all Sabahans were enjoying the fruits of its natural resources. Now look at Sabah, despite her rich natural resources she is now one of the poorest states in the Federation!!! Need I say more??? Form your own opinion here again my fellow Malaysians!!!!
Now lets look at the Peninsula as a whole. As I have stated above revelations of corrupt, unfair, racist and down right criminal practices are being revealed on a daily basis. Cabinet Ministers are contradicting each other with their press statements and announcements. Lies beget more lies the old saying goes and this is proof of it. The hot topic of the day is the unwillingness of the MACC to be present in London to take PI Bala's statement. Silly and stupid excuses such as waste of public funds to send investigators to get one person's statement are being used. I would like to ask one simple question, how come it's not a waste of government and or public funds to give an extra RM500K to every BN Assemblyman to take care of his/her constituent?? Shouldn't this extra or in fact RM1.5Million be distributed among all Assemblymen irrespective of which party they belong to??? BN SHOUT AND RAVE THAT THEY ARE THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE, DOES THIS REFLECT THAT STATEMENT???? 1Malaysia????? Rakyat First Performance Now??? I don't think so. It's more a case of punishing the rakyat who have voted the opposition by saying 'there you go, vote the opposition, you get nothing'. I say go on then give your BN/UMNO more money, I speak for myself when I say that all that money won't even reach the BN/UMNO constituents!!!! Line your pockets with your ill gotten gains. If you don't pay for your misdeeds now you will pay for it in the here after.
I could go on banging on my laptop keys with more facts to indicate that everything seems to be crumbling around BN/UMNO. They and their cronies are only harping on issues such as racism to protect their ill gotten gains. Scare tactics to protect their sinful and downright criminally gained possessions. 'You Reap What You Sow' I say. The end is nigh!!! The Rakyat has opened their eyes. No amount of spin can avert the impending outcome. Go ahead and even impose Martial Law or cause another May 13 it won't change anything. Allah maha kaya dan Allah juga melihat segala-galanya. Wassallam

Meritocracy - Such a lonely word!!!!

Sounds familiar doesn't it? If I'm not mistaken the original singer of this song (Honesty) was Billy Joel. Anyway you can correct me if you like. I however would like to equate these two words - Honesty & Meritocracy. On the subject of scholarships one can get into a long drawn discussion and argument as well. However in my personal point of view if the Education Ministry just reverts to merits and not race and creed, only then we will see fair distribution of scholarships. Apart from just merits and results a further in depth study of affordability must also be a main criteria. Let us now look at the meaning of the word. Wikipedia terms scholarships as an award of financial aid for a student to further education. Scholarships are awarded on various criteria usually reflecting the values and purposes of the donor or founder of the award. Criterias include:

Merit-based: These awards are based on a student's athletic, academic, artistic or other abilities, and often factor in an applicant's community service record and extracurricular activities. The most common merit-based scholarships, awarded by either private organizations or directly by a student's intended college, recognize academic achievement or high scores on the ACT and SAT standardized tests.[1]

Need-based: These awards are based on the student and family's financial record and will require applicants to fill out a FAFSA to qualify if the scholarship is a federal award. Private need-based scholarships will also often require the results of a FAFSA, which calculates a student's financial need through a formula looking at the expected family contribution and cost of attendance at the intended college.[2]

Student-specific: These are scholarships where applicants must initially qualify by race, gender, religion, family and medical history, or many other student-specific factors. Minority scholarships are the most common awards in this category, and not all are based in the United States. For example, students in Canada may qualify for a number of aboriginal scholarships, whether they study at home or abroad.[3]

Career-specific: These are scholarships awarded by a college or university to students planning to pursue a specific field of study. Often the most generous awards are given to students pursuing careers in high-need areas such as education or nursing. Nursing students are in high demand, and many schools will give future nurses full scholarships to enter the field, especially if the student intends to work in a high-need community

Now that we are clear on the meaning of the word can we now or should I say can the Education Ministry and in particular the Education Minister begin to understand that scholarships are not just based on quotas. In Malaysia's case more often than not it is based on race and quotas. This of course is just my point of view. Can the Ministry of Education really openly and honestly say that the selection process of awarding scholarships are based on the criteria stated above?? Sadly I think not, more so with people like Ibrahim Ali and his fellow followers of Perkasa around. Do these people even know the meaning of the word scholarship?? Furthermore I know of many young Malay Malaysians who have been successful in life without any helping hand from the Federal Government or agencies. I am so very sure they will feel insulted with comments made by Ibrahim Ali.
Enough on politics and cheap publicity, let us focus on the subject being discussed, what is the criteria being used by the Federal Government in the award of Scholarships?? Is there a guideline? If there is why is this guideline not made public? Let us be fair for all Malaysians living under the Malaysian Sun. If our children merit an award of a scholarship they should not be denied be they Malay, Chinese, Indian or any other race. Why are they, the children made victims of whims and fancies of politicians?? Or why are they being used for the sake of getting the politicians their '15 minutes of fame'!! Scream and Shout all you like, what matters most is the education of our future generations. Sadly however this is not the case, the fact of the matter is sadly parliamentarians on both sides of the house are more interested in getting sensational headlines rather than tackling the problem at hand.
Have a basis or guideline for the award of scholarships that is what all Malaysians want. These guidelines or criteria must be publicised if not gazetted for all students and parents. Until this is done whats the point of accusing each other of sedition or going against the Federal Constitution.

Ibrahim Ali - Learn your history!!!!

I am full of disgust at this insolent, un-educated, crass and racist member of parliament. How can he blatantly say that only the Malays fought for independence!!! How can he proclaim that ONLY his forefathers sacrificed for the Independence that we now enjoy. Every citizen be they malay, chinese, indian or whatever race he or she may have been fought and sacrificed for the Independence of Malaysia!!! I for one can proudly say that I have even served Malaysia in the Armed Forces (in the Royal Malaysian Navy to be more specific) for 16 years of my life laying my life on the line on more than one occasion, has he even placed his life on the line for the country even once in his life???? Such insolence and stupidity more so coming from a member of parliament only goes to show the level of maturity, knowledge and common decency which walk the once exalted corridors of power in the August House. He claims to be a Jaguh Kampung, championing the rights of the Malays in Malaysia however does he really and truly represent all Malays as so he claims??? Or does he only represent certain sections within the Malay Community??? Championing only certain or selected issues which only benefits himself and people he claims he represents???? Why has he stayed silent on the issue of sports betting?? Is it because he is one of the board members of the many companies connected to Vincent Tan??? Why the silence on that issue YB Ibrahim??? You say you are a Jaguh Kampung, you say whatever you do you do for the love of the malays but how come you are silent on this particular issue??? Bukankah semua orang Melayu beragama Islam?? Adakah Islam menghalalkan judi?? Sudah semestinya sebagai seorang Melayu yang beragama Islam isu lesen perjudian ini harus ditentang sepenuhnya oleh YB kerana bukankan negara kita Malaysia majoritinya Melayu Islam???? To me personally you are nothing but a loud mouth insolent and rude person who cares not what other people think or feel. Not that I am a supporter of our Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak but I still salute him in his decision to deny Vincent Tan the sports betting licence. For once he has heard the cry of the people, it may be due to political pressure non the less its a decision which I as a Rakyat applaud. You on the other hand are nothing more than an opportunist, looking for cheap publicity at the expense of the loyal people who have voted you in to the position you are in now. I can only pray and hope that you will get your 'balasan' one fine day. REMEMBER you were voted in, the people of your constituency put you where you are, they can also remove you. All I can hope for is that people of your constituency will reflect and think twice again when its time to vote. Wassallam

Troubled and Worried

Fearful and worried is all I can feel for the future of our beloved Malaysia. Day in and day out we continue to hear, see and read of the many troubles which we ordinary rakyat are facing or are about to face in the coming years. Never before are we so divided along racial lines as we are now. The worse thing about it is the Powers That Be Are Perpetuating or in simple words making things worse!!! Ministers keep contradicting themselves day in and day out. One minister says this and the other contradicts him. Whats even more worrisome is that even the Prime Minister is being contradicted by his own cabinet members. Matters or issues being contradicted are of a wide range of issues which effect the rakyat as a whole. From betting licenses to scholarships for budding students. How can we the rakyat have any confidence in the government which is supposedly representing us, being held responsible as the custodians of our natural resources and more importantly holding the future of our children in their hands???
Do these ministers not understand that they are dealing with a new generation of Malaysians who are more educated, aware and sensitive to what is happening around them??? Do they still think that we still depend on the main stream media as our only avenue of information??? Presumably they still do, judging by how these ministers behave and make statements. Even professionals like Idris Jala are being rubbished for forecasting what we are facing in the coming years, even though his presentation was based real figures and statistics. A professional like Idris Jala doesn't make statements to the public if he hasn't done his homework so to speak. Sure, his presentation may have been based on worst case scenarios but then again should it not be done in that manner??? Again I must reiterate that I'm no economist neither am I qualified to justify Idris Jala's presentation. However I would sooner believe Idris Jala than anyone else.
I make a decent living for myself, saving as much as I can for the sake and future of both my boys. I'm sure there are many Malaysians like me out there, slogging hard to ensure their future as well as their future generations. What on the other hand is the present government doing to help simple Malaysians like us??? They talk of spending billions on projects supposedly to uplift the economy but in the next breath they say there isn't enough money to help brilliant students who can't afford tertiary education??? They talk of increasing or improving the standard of education but what is being spent on the education system??? No pomp and pageantry there!!!! All we see, hear and read about is the billions that the government is going to spend on white elephants which no doubt will only benefit those closely related to the people who walk the corridors of power.
They ask why there is an exodus of young brilliant Malaysians overseas???? Is it not clear the reason why??? I speak for myself of course when I say that I'm worried and troubled but I am pretty sure there are many fathers like me out there who feel the same way. However although I earn enough to be part of the exodus of Malaysians to greener pastures I AM STAYING!!!! I will never ever give up on Malaysia!! This is my homeland. No one can tell me otherwise!!! If it takes my life I will fight for equal rights for me and for all Malaysian Fathers like myself wanting to see our future generations prosper in their own land. No greedy, selfish politician is going to run me off from my beloved Malaysia!!!!

Are We Really Concerned??

How concerned are we as Malaysians with the future of our beloved Malaysia???? Thank God for the alternative media i.e the internet where we as Malaysians are not exclusively fed with what the ruling government wants us to see, read and believe. With the internet now we are privy to both sides of the divide where the politicians are concerned. Lets not delve on this subject of the Main Stream Media vs The Alternative Media for now. Today let us ask ourselves are we truly concerned with the wellbeing of our country and her future???
My previous post was about Malaysia going bankrupt in 9 years time. A harsh reality which I am coming to terms with. I believe it will happen as it has been forecasted by an individual who is qualified, learned, experienced, knowledgeable and has an impeccable track record. The ruling government has retorted and more or less rubbished his forecast as we have seen in the main stream media. However it has to be noted that facts and figures used in it's reply or retort so to speak don't add up!!! Now I'm no economist, neither am I even a diploma or degree holder. However I have been in the workforce a good 20 years and that in itself holds me in good stead to decided who is right or wrong.
Which now brings me to my topic of the day (sorry for the long mukadimah hehehe). Are we as Malaysians (tak kiralah Malay, Chinese, Indian, Kadazan, Dayak, Orang Asli or anything else) really concerned??? If we truly are concerned what are we doing about it?? I have to admit I myself have not registered myself as a voter. In fact I have never voted in my life (although I THINK my vote has been utilized more than once without my knowledge by me being in the Royal Malaysian Navy for 16 years via postal votes). Still, can we really say we are doing our part in ensuring that the country doesn't disintegrate like Zimbabwe and Greece?? We as the Rakyat always seem to forget that we hold the key, politicians depend on us to ensure that they stay where they are in the corridors of power. It is neither their birthright nor god given right to say that they belong in their current position. It is us the rakyat that put them there. If we are not happy we can kick them out, put them on the street so to speak. WE HAVE THE POWER TO DO SO MY FELLOW MALAYSIANS!!!!
Currently those who walk the corridors of power seem to think that they are untouchable. No one can remove them from their current positions as WAKIL RAKYAT. I REPEAT WAKIL RAKYAT - Which means the peoples' representative!!!! They represent us. They should in fact serve us and NOT THEMSELVES which sadly and disappointingly seems to be the case at the moment. They are treated with such reverence and respect it's shameful to say the least!!! It's as if they are godlike in nature when in fact again I reiterate it is us THE RAKYAT who put them where they are!!!! I have travelled far and wide and no where in the world does a peoples' representative get so much attention and reverence like the wakil rakyats in Malaysia!!! It's as if they hold the key to our survival when in fact it us the rakyat who should determine their survival.
I beg my fellow Malaysians to open their minds, hearts and eyes especially. We live in a country rich with natural resources, rich with culture and traditions. Let us be fair this time to OURSELVES. I am neither advocating nor asking or even worse forcing any of my fellow Malaysians to back and support the opposition. All I ask is for us to ask ourselves are we really helping to make our country better, safer and prosperous for ourselves and our future generations? Or do we just continue to sit back and let things deteriorate. UNSHACKLE your minds and hearts my fellow Malaysians. Do we as the Rakyat want our rich resources squandered, wasted and pillaged by those who walk the corridors of power for their own benefit??? When in fact all this richness belongs to all of us who walk under the Malaysian Sun. I remind myself as well as like minded fellow Malaysians whom I consider brothers and sisters irrespective of race, creed or religion. It is us, we the Rakyat who determines our destiny or where we go from here.
We often hear that we are nothing, powerless against those who are in power. Alone I must admit we are powerless, alone yes we are nothing. However if we as the Rakyat are truly Concerned and want to safeguard our future generations we have to stand up, make ourselves heard and counted.
Let there be no stone left unturned, let there be no one spared from prosecution if there is proof of misdeeds. WE need and must demand for the return of our beloved Malaysia. Malaysia does not belong to a select few or those connected to the selected few. It belongs to all of us!!!! Nothing comes easy, we have to fight for what we want. Fight for what is fair and good. Listen not to what they who walk the corridors of power only want us to hear, but listen instead to our hearts and soul. Let us be true to ourselves, realize and begin to believe we are the ones in power. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step someone once said, our first step as children of Malaysia is to make that first step to believe. We have to believe we can save our beloved Malaysia. Let us all take that first defining step to save her, save Malaysia!!!!

Bankrupt??? Surprise Surprise!!!

It seems nothing has changed since I've been home the last two weeks. I resisted the urge to write or spill my guts as soon as I returned home. Just feeling I had to be impartial and fair to first see what is actually going on in my beloved Malaysia before I say start banging on the keys spilling my guts. As sick as I feel on how things are getting worse and worse in my homeland, I still thank Allah for giving me and my family what we now have. I honestly have to admit I am one of the lucky ones. However I still feel the need to note and express the way I feel toward the governance of our country.
Idris Jala is a well known corporate figure. His exploits and success not only involves Shell and MAS, but also he once held the helm in Malay Mail. He has done wonders turning around MAS especially when MAS was in the RED. What he did, he did with passion, professionalism and courage. There are many like him around, sadly they are either sidelined or just waiting for a good time to leave/migrate. Thus the continuing brain drain of true professionals which we suffer to lose day by day. How can one fault them for wanting to leave?? Anyway, thats another topic for tomorrow maybe ;-) He has just painted a future for Malaysia which is both realistic and shocking. He has really and truly opened the eyes of all Malaysians no matter where they sit on the political divide. True to his impartial and professional outlook on how bad things will get if we don't 'fix' the problem NOW!!! Bankrupt?? Yes I believe Idris Jala!!! I believe his predictions which are based on facts and figures. I don't hold any diploma or degree in economics or business but it's pretty clear we are headed down a slippery slope which if we don't address will only make matters worse. It's so silly to see how our PM with pomp and pageantry announcing how he snared or roped in a professional to make things right only to distance himself when the outlook based on facts and figures do not show him in a good light. In fact it not only seems silly but STUPID!!!! As usual we now see counter figures and statements from the ruling coalition and from Najib himself trying to calm things by saying and stating things are not that bad. Sorry Mr Prime Minister cum Finance Minister, damage is done, milk has been spilled, nasi dah jadi bubur. No amount of spins will be able to pull yourself out of this quandary. You have signed and sealed your fate, even approval ratings announced in the Main Stream Media will not save you now.
Now that in a nutshell is where we are heading - Bankruptcy!!!!! Another issue which I am called to address would be this betting issue claimed and counter claimed, issued or not issued to Vincent Tan and Ascot Sports. Lets not start with what impact legalizing betting will do to the country at a micro or macro level. I demand to know as a citizen of Malaysia has the license been issued???? Two ministries and very senior ministers are contradicting themselves in public I might add!!!! One says issued the other says not issued. One says approved the other says still waiting on feedback from the public??? Which is which now??? NEVER EXPECTED SUCH A BACKLASH FROM THE PUBLIC is the real issue here my fellow Malaysians. Such blowback is indeed a shock to the system. Now the Securities Commission is getting involved and rightly so, announcements made more just to drive share prices up or down is against the law. What Vincent has done has effected the share price of Berjaya and many have burned. To all like minded Malaysians - Lets just sit back and enjoy the spins, twist and turns of this particular saga. I'm truly wondering how the ruling coalition will try to worm their way out of this and still come out trying to smell like roses.
Congratulations Dato' Kong Cho Ha on your new appointment as Transport Minister. However my wishes end there!!!! How can you as a Transport Minister announce to all and sundry that there will no longer be anymore inquires on the PKFZ Scandal???? You mean to say thats that???? No one to pay for all the losses incurred??? Haiyo Dato' rakyat's money you know!!! I know la not your's but still you represent us la!!!! You want to betray your loyal supporters in Sitiawan/Kampong Koh and Kampong Cina???? Yes, Dato' thats where I live and I am one of the voters from Sitiawan!!!! You are truly LAU SAI if no one pays or spends time behind bars for the PKFZ Fiasco. You as a person may not be affected now but I can truly tell you now if you continue on this course your days as Transport Minister are truly numbered. Voices of discontent are getting louder and louder by the day Mr Minister, it will be a crescendo toward a banging and deafening thunder come GE13 when you try again to retain your parliamentary seat. Its still not too late to back track Mr Minister, there is still time for you to redeem yourself. Time for you to bring to book personalities who were involved in that fiasco. Unless of course you were also in cahoots with them?? Maybe??? If so then, there is nothing more I can say.
Just 3 short paragraphs indicating the state of the country at the moment. Let us all look and truly understand how bad things are getting in our beloved Malaysia. Again we need to understand we are the bosses, we put these individuals where they are as Ministers and Parliamentarians in the August House. However if they continue with impunity then it's time for a change time to set things right, not only for us but also for our children and children's children. So let us all think and ponder.

New Economic Model = 1Malaysia???

The past one year it's been 1Malaysia here 1Malaysia there!!! It's been bandied about and proclaimed at every opportunity. However like everyone else who is of sound mind and intelligence, all it is just empty promises and mere slogans. Here again the present UMNO/BN government fails to understand that the rakyat has matured tremendously more so after the 12th general elections. No longer does the general public depend on the Main Stream Media for updates or news on what is happening on the political front. Even housewives have their laptops or net books to browse the internet for the latest gossips on artists. I know this because my wife has a netbook herself and she keeps herself abreast with the latest news and gossips not only on gossips of Malaysian artists but also on the political front.
How sad it is to note yet again the New Economic Model will again most likely fail miserably when it is eventually unveiled. Of course it isn't fair for me to comment on it as it is yet to be unveiled (further delayed apparently for fine tuning konon!!!). One only has to keep abreast of the latest happenings and the demands being made by the newest peer pressure group threatening yet again that the Malay and Bumiputra rights must not or never be threatened or cast out. It's an open secret that only selected well connected Malays and Bumiputras actually benefit from affirmative action which has been practiced under the New Economic Policy since the 70s. Those not who are not well connected have to work as hard as any other Malaysian to earn a living competing with all races. Those who don't depend on the government must be really humiliated and ashamed with the actions of this group of NGOs claiming to protect the interest of the Malays and Bumiputras. At the end of the day we all know all they are interested in is protecting their own interests. I know of many Malays who face the open and brutal market for business opportunities and they in fact are one of the few who have actually done well enough or even better than any other. To say that these Malay Malaysians should and must be further protected is an INSULT to the highest degree. Well, that is how I would personally feel.
In finality the world is getting smaller day by day. If we as Malaysians still profess and insist in practicing affirmative action it is just a loss for the Malays in particular and all Malaysian irrespective of race and creed in general. There is no way for us to compete in the international and open market if we still practice protectionism. Will the New Economic Model be just another slogan like 1Malaysia?? Unfortunately I believe it will. It will be just another slogan to harp on to garner support to benefit the UMNO/BN government and those who are well connected to get richer while the poor Malaysian on the street who aren't as lucky or well connected - terus berada di takuk lama!!!!!!

Getting worse!!!

It's been a weeks since I've come back from work in Qatar. Honestly I've started and stopped writing a post a couple of times since I've been back. I seem to lose focus on what I'm writing whenever I start then I just stop and delete what I've written. After scanning and reading most of the posts in my favorite websites and blogs it seems that not much has changed and the political climate remains as volatile as ever. MPs leaving parties, evidence being witheld in cases, mud slinging among top politicians and so on. I wonder if there are more like me out there in Malaysia, feeling lost, feeling unsure, flabbergasted, shocked and most of all angry at what is happening.
I've often stated I am lucky that I work overseas, earning much more than an average Malaysian. Thankful for being able to give my family what I didn't have when I was growing up. Saving for my children's future and of course for when I retire. However is it all in vain? With the way the country is going at the moment I don't really know if I will be even welcome in my own country. The racial divide is getting wider and wider by the day, this PERKASA is evidence in itself that there are some who think the country owe it to them to have special rights and privileges. Who are they to say that they deserve more than others?? Who are they to demand that the should and must be assisted in more ways than one.
It's an open secret that only well 'connected' malays in Malaysia will get contracts and benefits. Ask any ordinary malay man on the street if he has been given anything in terms of benefits. The answer will be a big ZERO. So all this hullaballoo with the formation of PERKASA is only a smokescreen to protect certain individuals or groups personal interests. Well that is what I feel personally that is. How long are we to endure these injustices and double standards under the current government. 1Malaysia touted by Najib is nothing but a slogan and nothing more. The Prime Minister needs to do more to prove his worth and not just trumpet his slogan everywhere he goes without any action. Malaysians have worked hard to be where we are now, racial tolerance/acceptance once rock solid to a point being a beacon or example to other countries around world is now left in tatters with the recent racial problems rearing it's ugly head.
Najib may not be using racial sentiments but his underlings are. As a leader he should be reign in these individuals and put a stop to it. Is it due to the fact that these individuals are warlords within UMNO who still wield influence and can determine his political future being the reason Najib can't act?? Your guess is as good as mine. However if it is not stopped the situation will only get worse. At the end of the day I'm only a single voice, a single individual voicing his dissatisfaction and anger. I treat everybody with respect, race and religion has no bearing on how I personally treat or look a person or individual. I teach my children the same thing. For one to be respected, one needs to respect others first. Basic moral values seem to be disintegrating with each passing day. How are we to instill moral values to the younger generation when we ourselves do not practice what we preach??
One can only hope and pray that there are many like me out there in Malaysia. Hoping and praying that things will change for the better. Doing our bit to ensure our children grow up in a better Malaysia. Reading and understanding what is going on in our beloved Malaysia and making the right decision when the time comes. We ordinary Malaysians have been taken for a ride, we have been blindfolded and fooled by individuals who only think of themselves and their well being for far too long. It's time for us to the Rakyat to determine who works for who. Many have said it and I am not ashamed to repeat it we shape our own destiny, so to all Malaysians irrespective of race and religion, let us all live in peace and harmony. Let us build a better future not only for ourselves but also for our future generations.

Malaysia a.k.a Zimbabwe???

How we shudder to think how low we have become!!!!! Fighter engines lost, National Annual Budget almost thrown out, non attendance during crucial vote by parliamentarians, money siphoned out of the country to personal bank accounts overseas or just for jollies while abroad and so so much more!!!! Indeed Malaysians such as myself are now more matured and more 'connected' via the world wide web. All these improprieties were an open secret before, talked about in coffee shops and social gatherings. (No wonder the authorities have now banned innocent parties at homes and teh tarik sessions at kopitiams or kedai mamaks!!! Lest you run the risk of getting arrested!!!) However with the web we begin to know more and more, slowly but surely the cracks and breaks are beginning to show. There isn't a need now to gather and talk about these improprieties, we have the web, we can talk and discuss it without having the fear of being physically abused (still run the risk of being arrested though but so be it!!!)
The country is spiraling down to depths never before imagined possible. Once we were even called as one of the Asian Tigers but now look at us?? Where are we now?? Leaders now compare us to countries like Vietnam and Cambodia for goodness sakes!!! Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia have progressed by leaps and bounds for example economically. While we in Malaysia sadly lag behind.
Is Malaysia becoming another failed state like Zimbabwe??? Are we going to end up like Nigeria?? Both countries rich with naturally resources however the ruling elite in both countries are robbing it's citizens blindly!!!! Without an iota of guilt leaders in both countries enrich themselves. Are our current leaders doing the same?? As I said it was an open secret before but not anymore, we Malaysians are now screaming and demanding for JUSTICE!!! True we have not come to those dangerous low levels yet but one can clearly see we are heading that way for sure!!! I have seen it with my own eyes, I have experienced it myself being in Nigeria for a couple of months working. I can tell you now my fellow Malaysians we don't ever want to live in such conditions.
Yes, things are still bearable now, we can still eke out a living, support our families and save for the future of our children. However if we continue to turn a blind eye to whats happening to the country presently, continue to say to ourselves 'what can we do?' We only have ourselves to blame if we end up like Zimbabwe or Nigeria or any other failed state in the world today. We must and have to continue to hound our present leaders for accountability and justice. Individually, sure we count for nothing. But collectively we can change, we can make a difference. In the end it's up to us the Citizens of Malaysia (responsible citizens that is) to form our own destiny. Doing something is better than doing nothing.

Parliamentarians or Just Mere Blood Suckers???

Once again the BN Parliamentarians have shown and exhibited their sheer arrogance, ignorance and contempt to the rakyat who have put them in the August House as their representatives!!!! Let this be a lesson to all Malaysians on who we actually choose to represent us in Parliament. True the opposition attendance was at 78% but this is due to several members being barred from attending. However non of the BN representatives have been barred and still their attendance only stands at 50%. What happened to the other 50% one begins to wonder?? Taking things for granted is the only logical explanation to this fiasco!!! Even Najib himself has to be accounted for this embarrassment. Is it not his budget?? How could he be attending a social dinner when HIS OWN BUDGET IS BEIND DEBATED AND VOTED????? This goes to show that Najib himself is not serious with his own budget!!!! Open your eyes my fellow Malaysians!!! Is it not clear that where these BN representatives stand or what they represent and what they stand for???
On another note, the speaker of the Dewan is supposed to be impartial or non-partisan. To openly come up with a statement that the opposition had behaved in an ungentlemanly manner in trying to beat the bill without the presence of the BN Parliamentarians is uncalled for!!! It is their responsibility to be present on such at important bill to be passed being the budget of the country no less. Again we are confronted and faced with an open fact that the Speaker is indeed biased, he himself should 'cermin diri' before making any statements. Impartiality is PARAMOUNT if one is the Speaker of the Dewan, he holds court to ensure impartiality and fairness among parliamentarians.
It is so unfortunate for us as Malaysians as we can all see that impartiality and fairness is far from present be it within the August House or even the Main Stream Media. Little or nothing has been mentioned on the follies or shortcomings of the Barisan Government, however every little thing regarding the opposition is broadcasted far and wide, and this without the opposition being allowed to defend themselves. How long are we expected to swallow this nonsense as Malaysians on Allah Ta'ala knows!! May Allah save us all!!!!!

Bahasa Malaysia??? English??? Mandarin???

Is the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister on talking terms???? One says Bahasa Malaysia is supreme while the other says we should diversify and learn Mandarin no less!!! Both are sending confusing signals to the general public with their statements. I might add that these are the top two leaders of our country???? sheesh!!!! Are they not talking to each other??? Shouldn't their statements as the top two people in Malaysia be at least along the same lines or school of thought??? The Prime Minister is advocating that we should learn Mandarin to better understand the diversity of our own country, crowing about Malaysia having the most Chinese Independent Schools outside China. While on the other hand we have our Deputy Prime Minister who also happens to be the Education Minister saying that Bahasa Malaysia is supreme!!!!
Lets first talk about the standard of English. The level or standard of English in Malaysia has dropped dramatically, I know this for a fact as I used to monitor junior officers in the navy attending their diploma courses at UTM Skudai, Believe it or not 95% of them couldn't even string a complete sentence in proper English!!! These are the officers who are now in middle management in the Royal Malaysian Navy. Papers which they were required to write were more like gibberish. I used to stay up late helping as many of them as I could with their reports, papers and course work. Most of them have obtained their respective diplomas but I just wonder how they attained their diplomas with such poor standard of English!!! Some may say that I'm only an SPM holder so who am I to comment or even worse condemn diploma holders. Well to each is own and this is just my opinion.
Bahasa Malaysia is indeed important as it reflects our country. We are after all called Malaysians. Having a good command of Bahasa Malaysia is also very important more so now with the current turn of events (ie. an affidavit being thrown out for being in English in one of Anwar Ibrahim's many court cases). Fair play Bahasa Malaysia must and should be given attention in schools but not at the expense of forsaking English or Mandarin or even Tamil for that matter. I am one of those who fully support the teaching of Mathematics and Science in English (pretty obvious now). Maths and Science being taught in is so much easier to understand as the terminologies are precise and to the point. Having the ability to speak, read and write both in Bahasa Malaysia and English is a great advantage. Just ask anyone of many Malaysians working or earning a living overseas (like myself). Some Englishmen even admit that I am able to speak better and proper English compared to themselves. I for one have benefitted both professionally and financially being able to speak and write good English. Why are we denying this to our very own children??? They are the future of this country are they not??? Would we want them to resent us for denying them the ability to speak and write good English, Mandarin or even Tamil just because political pressure, political popularity and political relevance is more important???
In as far as Mandarin is concerned, even the Prime Minister has admitted that his own son is learning Mandarin. His son is learning Mandarin in Georgetown University no less, Georgetown is one of the most prestigious Universities in the United States located in Washington DC. Realizing the the emergence of China as a global economic force it only makes sense for us in Malaysia to consider Mandarin or Tamil/Hindi as a third language. India is not far behind compared to China so is it not prudent to have a second if not a third language as well??? Why oh why aren't our leaders thinking of the future??
One just hopes that the Prime Minister in saying or advocating that Mandarin is important is not just mere talk. Saying it just because he was in the presence of a chinese audience (at the Chong Hwa 95th Anniversary Dinner last night). To both leaders of the country (PM and DPM) do talk to each other and come to an understanding and implement something worthwhile for once. For the sake of our children and for the sake of the future of Malaysia

Closet Racist

I am so touched and angry after reading what RPK has written in his latest posting. I face these same Malaysians day in and day out. Yes, CLOSET RACISTS!!! They are the ones who shout and scream when things don't go their way or decisions are made against them. All the time using race and or religion as their basis of argument. I myself am a chinese muslim. I converted 15 years ago and consequently married my wife 14 years ago. I converted on my own free will with not much objection from my family, although my late father was a little disappointed in me. I had to prove to him most of all that I converted not only to get married but it was what I wanted to do and it was because I wanted to live the rest of my life the muslim way. I achieved what I set out to do through the way I lived my life. Never did I disrespected my father in any way till his last breath. I still dream of him smiling at me which to me is a sign.
As for these closet racists shouting and screaming when things don't go their way all I can say is grow up!!! It's people like RPK who truly want to see 1 Malaysia where race and religion is not a factor. I have served my country in the navy for 16 years of my life as an officer, never have I favoured anyone based on race but on merit. I had to leave as I was being personally persecuted by senior officers who didn't like me for firstly being Chinese (although a muslim) and because I was doing my job well. Mind you the the decision to leave was of my own free will, no one forced me to do it. I decided to do it myself and Alhamdullilah I am better for it. Working now in a foreign land with a foreign company run by foreigners. My work is appreciated and I am paid very well.
We Malaysians are at an important cross road. The road we take as a nation will determine where we will be in the next couple of years. Think and decide what we want for our children. I for one don't want my kids to face or go through what I myself went through. We have to decide, not PM,DPM or any ministers. We are their boss, they exist only because we put them there. Wake up Malaysia!!! Time to make a decision and be brave enough to stand by it. END TO RACISM IN MALAYSIA!!!! I make this call to all TRUE MALAYSIANS!!!!!

Zambry - Grow Up for Goodness Sakes!!!

The political impasse has everyone confused not only in Perak but also the whole country. No one knows who the real Menteri Besar is. Everyone has their own opinion and reasons to back their stand. It is the courts now which has to determine who is the real and official Menteri Besar. It is the courts now which has to decide if His Royal Highness has erred in his decision to elect you Datuk Zambry. Under the constitution even His Royal Highness has to obey the rule of law. By saying this I am in no way disrespecting or dishonouring or disregarding His Royal Highness. In fact I have the highest respect for the royal institution in Malaysia being an ex naval officer who has served King and Country for 16 years of my life.
Your so called statement saying Nizar has no right to meet with His Royal Highness is not only wrong but just shows and indicates how IMMATURE, INSECURE and CHILDISH you are!!!! Every Malaysian has a right to meet with his Royal Highness!!! It is up to His Royal Highness himself to decide if he wishes to grant and audience with Nizar or anyone else for that matter!!! Who the bloody hell are you to say that he has no right????
True you have been conferred the title of Menteri Besar by His Royal Highness. I have my own opinions on that. However the title of Menteri Besar does not give you the right to say that Nizar can't REQUEST an audience!! I repeat REQUEST AN AUDIENCE!!!! You may have a Doctorate and a string of degrees, however your statement is devoid of maturity and understanding of the word REQUEST. I for one can only come to the conclusion that you are afraid and scared if the request is granted. Why are you fearful if you are in the right??? Why be worried if you know and truly believe you are indeed the TRUE MENTERI BESAR OF PERAK???
In my humble opinion a true statesman who is confident of his own position would simply say or state 'Nizar can, if he must request and audience, whether or not it is granted depends on His Royal Highness'. Your statement however just implies how dowright childish you are. Like a little kid who has wrestled away a toy and doesn't want to share!!! So for Fucks Sake GROW UP and be a leader. Grow up and think before you open your mouth. You are a Menteri Besar (or so you think) your responsibility not only lies in governing the state but also includes leading by example. If this is how you act and behave I have nothing but shame and disgust to have a leader such as yourself!!!!!

Where the buck stops - A. Kugan Torture

As a former Naval Officer in the Royal Malaysian Navy I truly believe that officers are responsible for the actions of their men and or chargers. Mind boggling, shock, unbelievable are just some of the words which come to mind when reading the second autopsy report. How could such a thing happen??? What hypocrites our leaders are more so in the police force. They shout and rave at the atrocities of Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. Subjecting suspects to torture is inhumane they say. Often just jumping on the bandwagon for publicity, popularity and support. Where are these UMNO/BN Youth Leaders when there is clear evidence that it's happening in our own backyard???? Why aren't they baying for blood???
Suspending and relocating the police personnel involved IS JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Heads have to roll for this!! Responsibility lies with the officers not only at the police station but right to the top. To this day no comments have been made or no mention of any further actions taken albeit there have been statements that a decision will be made on the case at the end of the month??? Does it take that long when the evidence is clear and rock solid???
No need to get into details of the torture Kugan must have gone through prior to his death. WE have all read it. All we want to know now is what is going to be done!!! If the police still intend to 'pussyfoot' themselves out of this mess I for one will keep harping on what is to be done. I am nobody but I am a Malaysian Citizen!!! I will never let this lie!!! I will keep on writing till justice is done. I'm sure I won't be alone in voicing my discontent and dissapointment of PDRM. WHAT A SHAMEFULL DAY TO CALL OURSELVES MALAYSIANS!!!!

The new Zimbabwe - Malaysia

If you have never been to Africa don't fret, the climate here is similar to that of most countries in Africa (Zimbabwe and Nigeria). However what brings similarity between Malaysia and Zimbabwe or Nigeria is the political climate!! I have never set foot in Zimbabwe however I was in Nigeria. If we are not careful or continue to allow the current situation in our country to manifest and fester, rest assured WE WILL BECOME ANOTHER FAILED AFRICAN STATE the only difference is that we are in the Far East. Mugabe has successfully run a prosperous country to the ground. From a country who used to export food, Zimbabwe now is forced to import food to support it's own people. Nigeria is the 5th or 6th biggest oil exporter in the world, however one only needs to go down south to Port Harcourt in particular where one can witness how a nation's wealth in terms of natural resources is squandered and only benefit the rich and politically well connected. Even our palm oil industry has Nigeria to thank. The first seeds of our very own 'kelapa sawit' was imported from Nigeria.
Can we not learn from these failed states in order not to let it happen to ourselves?? Or are we just so proud and ignorant to think that we will never end up as such. Complacency is the mother of all failures!!! Our so called leaders continue to haggle and squabble for power when they fail to understand that their existence depends on us the electorate. Day in and day out we read and hear law suits being filed left right and centre. Why is it that no one has heard the pleas and cries of the electorate themselves one wonders??? Each and everyone seems to think they are right and everyone else is wrong.
Is it not the duty and responsibility of an 'ELECTED' Leader to listen to his constituents?? The police, judiciary and MACC seem only too keen to serve one particular party. So obvious and blatant are their actions where investigations and questioning Pakatan Rakyat party officials are swift and carried out without delay. However cases which involve UMNO/BN in particular these same authorities drag their feet. The case of A.Kugan is a perfect and glaring example when even after the damning 2nd autopsy report nothing seems to be getting done. I weep for the family of A.Kugan who only want to see justice done, but alas justice may not prevail. There are of course many other cases to mention but we all know that the end result is the same.
If we THE RAKYAT continue to allow this we only have ourselves to blame and no one else!!!!!

Allah or God works in mysterious ways

Allah or God depending on your religion and to whom you pray works in mysterious ways. I join the chorus of rakyat who are conveying their condolences to the immediate family members of the MP of Bukit Gantang YB Hj Roslan Shaharum. Semoga Allah mencucuri Rahmat ke atas roh Allahyarham.
BN/UMNO must be rueing their bad luck (karma maybe????), after dodging the bullet of a possible state wide election now they are now faced with a by-election in Perak. Everybody says its a referendum of the legitimacy of the BN government in Perak (well at least in blogsphere almost 99% seem to think so). I am one of that 99% I must say so myself. To a certain extent it will prove to be a back breaker to both BN/UMNO and PR. In other words the electorate in Bukit Gantang now holds the key to the State Government of Perak. The result may not change or alter the balance or shift the balance of power in the Perak State Government, however the result will certainly prove once and for all which party the rakyat really wants!!!! and trusts!!!!
Already calls are being made that Nizar and Zambry contest the seat in Bukit Gantang, indeed if Nizar does accept the challenge (which I think he will) Zambry on the other hands has all to gain and everything to lose. Will he risk putting his reputation at risk??? After all he only won his seat in Pangkor with a minimal 15 vote majority!!!! And that is where he was born and raised I might add. Being a educated man my guess is he will definitely not risk it. After all he already is the MB Of Perak. He will definitely not risk putting his reputation at the hands of the rakyat. Esspecially now when the tide is so against him (although the Main Stream Media seems to think and convey otherwise). Doesn't Allah or God work in mysterious ways??? :-)
The whole country isn't happy with what has happened in Perak. Quite a huge percentage does seem to think that Nizar is wrong to defy His Royal Highness but in his defiance the same huge percentage also doesn't agree to what His Royal Highness has decided. Whether or not it was within His Majesty's right to rule as such according to the letter of the law it is now evident that THE RAKYAT would have wanted the decision to be put in their hands. Aren't we living in a democratic country????
Now Perak is faced with a by-election which NO ONE CAN DODGE. The Election Commision does not have any choice what so ever but to hold elections within 60 days. As previously mentioned this by-election can be a back breaker to both BN/UMNO and PR. Who has more to lose?? Even the Royal Palace will definitely be keen to know if what has been decided was indeed for the good and welfare of the people of Perak. Now it is in the hands of the Rakyat, so much is at stake. For BN losing Bukit Gantang will be a slap in the face delivered at the hands of the rakyat. For PR losing will only mean that they have to buck up and forget about using the party hopping strategy. The right to rule does not belong to any one party. The right to determine who governs belongs to the people. We the rakyat decides not Najib, Anwar or any other politician.

CRIMINAL INCITEMENT FOR ALL TO SEE!!!!!

“If you see the illegal government coming, I order you as deputy Youth chief to do what is necessary,” he said.

Later, when pressed on what is “necessary” by reporters, Khairy said that as the Ipoh police chief had assured him that they would not allow the PR men to enter the premises, Umno Youth would stand down.

“I hold him to his promise. But if they are not able to deliver, then I cannot guarantee their actions due to their anger,” he said.

Statement from a youth leader?????

How can a youth leader said to be well educated issue such a statement??? Is this how a good leader leads his followers??? Well, in Bolehland I guess thats the standard of leaders that we have. How sad and disappointing. Shouldn't he instead be ensuring that his followers or members abstain from causing trouble and abiding by the law??? Instead we the peace loving members of the public are once again faced with the prospect of violence.

Sure he has the right to voice his opinions on the current standoff in Perak but to incite and order his followers to do what obviously is against the law cannot and should not be tolerated!!!! How can BN say or preach to the public that they are willing to change when statements like these are issued in public??? It is as if his youth wing is above the law and can do anything they like if they feel the police do not what they want or wish for. Where is his integrity??? Where is his sense of responsibility????

One can only say that yet again the integrity of the police will be put to the test. If they the police do practice double standards it will be there for all to see. We the peace loving rakyat in Malaysia are time and again fed with 'bullshit' from many leaders of the ruling government that no one is above the law. However saying and doing are two different things.

Political mileage is the only thing that comes to mind as we witness the non stop flow of statements of anger and hate being poured out by our 'so called leaders'. Jumping on the 'Derhaka kepada Raja Bandwagon' seems to be the current way to get oneself in the limelight.

If this is not considered CRIMINAL INCITEMENT FOR VIOLENCE then we the Rakyat of Malaysia do live in a police state!!!!

Fresh Elections, Make it so PR!!!!

Mulling and thinking about it won't change matters at hand. Swift and positive actions makes all the difference!!!! The past 10 months have shown that PR have been running the Perak State Government with dignity and honesty. Sure hiccups and problems have cropped up but that it inherent in any organisation. So long as these problems are sorted out amicably which I truly beleive have been anyway. 10 months is too short a duration to gauge the performance of the PR coalation. Hell we gave BN 50 years and look where we are now???? What is a mere 10 months compared to 50 years???
The only way to sort out the current problem is to dissolve the State Legislature and seek a new mandate from the Rakyat. Once and for all THE RAKYAT DECIDES!!!! Not political parties and certainly not individual politicians either from PR or BN. Time and again I for one have always insisted that we select our representitives and their existence is purely in the hands of THE RAKYAT who elected them not vice versa!!!! That is TRUE DEMOCRACY, however this is not what we are witnessing now.
We, the rakyat insist and demand fairness and equality from our elected representitives. These elected representitives need to get their priorities right. The country is faced with an economic crisis which will noly get worse in time to come. However what we see and read in any media now is personal battles being fought among individuals and political parties. Meanwhile Joe Blog on the street is wondering where the next pay check is coming from. All over the country the rakyat is facing retrenchments and loss of income. Yet nothing is done to aliviate these problems. Sure, announcements have been made about stimulus packages but where is it being channeled to one wonders??? Has the government detailed how it is being spent or who benefits from these stimulus packages?? Is it not the government's responsibility to detail how THE RAKYAT'S MONEY IS BEING SPENT?????
Back to the topic at hand, this fiasco needs to be nipped in the bud and sorted out IMMIDEATLY!!! Disolve the State Legislature and let us THE RAKYAT decide who we want to represent us!!! The current economic crisis needs to be tackled immediately. I am sure I speak for many Perakians and Malaysians in saying that all we want is our future and our childrens future to be secure. However in current circumstances where we see is nothing but power hungry politicians jostling for positions of power with little regard for THE RAKYAT who put them there anyway!!!
I personally urge Yang Berhormat Menteri Besar Perak to seek an audience with His Royal Highness Sultan of Perak to obtain his blessings for the dissolution of the Perak State Legislature paving the way for a State wide election. Only then can our elected representitives tackle the problems at hand.
